Our new patient fee is $245. A part of this initial fee can be claimed from Medicare. We require full payment at the time of the consultation, and we accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and cash. Any further fees for your next consultation/s will be explained at this time, before they are billed (as they can vary greatly depending on the course of action each individual needs, we don’t have a comprehensive list here)
We have a direct Medicare claiming facility called EasyClaim which means that in most cases we can claim your Medicare rebate on the spot. Having the EasyClaim system means that as soon as you have paid the full fee, we can electronically have the rebate transferred directly into your bank account. HICAPS claiming for private health funds is also available here. Private health funds cover physical items purchased, not consultation fees. At the time of collection of your spectacles or contact lenses, we can swipe your private health fund claim and take any benefit amount from the amount owing. We can’t claim for your private health insurance over the phone, and we do need the card in practice to swipe through the machine. All our receipts have the full billing information and item codes necessary to make the claim yourself if you wish to do that separately.
